Vaccination Cases

In Ireland thousands of vaccinations are administered each year without complication. As with any medical procedure, sometimes errors occur in their administration.

Our team at Berwick solicitors have dealt with many cases involving incorrect administration of vaccines. The most common injury is SIRVA. This is a shoulder injury which occurs when a vaccine is injected too high or too deep into the shoulder. Injecting the vaccine this way can lead to intense and prolonged pain and other shoulder injuries, such as a rotator cuff tear or tendonitis.

As with all cases of medical negligence, the first step is to obtain a report from a suitable expert witness. The report must say that the injury complained of is directly due to the negligent injection of a vaccine.

If you have suffered an injury of this nature and require legal advice you should contact a Solicitor as soon as possible. In Ireland, there is a time limit of two years to bring a legal case. There are preliminary steps which must be undertaken before commencing a case. Due to our expertise, we can offer you the support you need to guide you through the process of a medical negligence case.

Please note that we meet with clients for medical negligence cases throughout Ireland.
